Athena by LuckeySystems is an ecosystem of open-source, local-first tools designed to serve as a durable memory and control surface for AI coding agents.

Use Cases ▼
01

Resume AI coding sessions with full context recall across multiple sessions

02

Orchestrate multi-agent workflows deterministically for complex development tasks

03

Dictate code, commands, and documentation to any desktop application

04

Manage and switch between different AI coding assistants in one unified workspace

05

Search across all past agent interactions to reuse knowledge and decisions

06

Develop and run AI-assisted coding entirely offline with no cloud dependencies

What Problem It Solves ▼

Most AI coding tools lack continuity, forgetting context between sessions and requiring repeated explanations. Athena provides persistent local memory for AI agents, ensuring they recall past decisions, codebase architecture, and conversations, thereby enabling more reliable, private, and efficient collaboration without sending data to the cloud.

Key Features ▼
✓

Persistent local memory eliminates context loss between sessions

✓

Agent-agnostic design works with multiple popular AI backends

✓

No cloud dependency ensures privacy and offline capability

✓

Modular open-source architecture with permissive MIT license

✓

Deterministic multi-agent orchestration for repeatable workflows

Overview

Athena by LuckeySystems is an ecosystem of open-source, local-first tools designed to serve as a durable memory and control surface for AI coding agents. It includes Athena Desktop, an Electron-based command room that embeds terminals for multiple AI agents (Codex, OpenCode, Claude Code, Hermes) and provides session resumption and project handoffs. Athena Code is a terminal AI coding agent with persistent local memory, using SQLite FTS5 to save and recall facts and decisions across sessions without cloud dependence. Athena Loops offers a deterministic multi-agent orchestration loop that decomposes goals into parallel tasks, reviewed iteratively, supporting multiple backends. Athena Whisper provides local voice dictation via a floating widget, transcribing speech to any focused text field using faster-whisper. Additional supporting repositories enhance session search, context gathering, usage tracking, and mobile access. The platform emphasizes agent agnosticism, letting users bring their preferred AI backends while keeping all memory, history, and orchestration on their own hardware under the MIT license.
