Botflix
Botflix is a free, always-on streaming service that broadcasts robot-themed content 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is described as an AI-powered robot television channel designed for both robots and humans, blending entertainment, artificial intelligence, and internet culture. The platform features a continuous live stream accessible via its website and YouTube, offering a mix of generated visuals, robot music, and other media under the banner of 'RoboTV.' In addition to the live stream, Botflix encompasses a merchandise store ('Botflix.store'), a record label with a virtual robot K-pop girl group called NEONIX, a radio station, and plans for a future virtual world called 'Botropolis.' The project is a digital art installation created by Jon Shaivitz and produced by JS Films LLC, presenting itself as a satirical and avant-garde take on modern streaming services. Botflix markets itself as 'linear TV rebooted,' with a futuristic and humorous tone. It includes elements like a fictional cryptocurrency and promotional materials about robot awareness. The service is free to access, with no login required, and primarily serves as background entertainment or a source of novelty for viewers.
