Overview

Kommz Gamer is a real-time voice translation middleware built for gamers. It routes a player's microphone audio through a virtual audio cable, performs speech recognition and translation, and outputs translated speech in the player's headset. The software supports more than 20 languages with an average latency under 300 milliseconds, and includes a proprietary voice cloning engine, Kommz Voice (based on XTTS and GPT-SoVITS), that preserves the user's vocal timbre across translated languages. The product consists of two editions: an open-source community version, Kommz Gamer Community, and a commercial release with additional features. The desktop application detects the active game using audio fingerprinting and applies game-specific audio profiles, covering popular titles such as Valorant, CS2, R6 Siege, Fortnite, Apex Legends, Among Us, and Lethal Company. A Mobile Command Center lets players control language selection, microphone sensitivity, TTS volume, and profiles from a smartphone via a local WebSocket connection, without minimizing the game. Kommz Gamer is designed to be safe for competitive play and claims compatibility with anti-cheat systems like Vanguard, Ricochet, and BattleEye. The architecture uses a Cloud LPU to offload heavy processing, preserving FPS. Recent versions add Voice Focus V3, session statistics export, an OLED dark mode, and automatic game detection. Development is supported through Patreon and Discord, with installation requiring the free VB-Audio Cable driver.
