KyttoMCP is a desktop application that provides a unified control panel for managing Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers across multiple AI coding clients.

Use Cases ▼
01

View which MCP servers are enabled across Claude, Cursor, VS Code, and Codex

02

Estimate context token usage from MCP tool definitions

03

Safely toggle servers on/off without editing configuration files manually

04

Back up configurations automatically before making changes

05

Quickly audit MCP setup across multiple development environments

06

Prevent configuration drift by managing everything from one app

What Problem It Solves ▼

Developers using multiple AI coding assistants face fragmented MCP server configurations scattered across various JSON and TOML files. KyttoMCP centralizes this into a single interface, providing a clear overview and allowing safe, atomic changes without manual file editing.

Key Features ▼
✓

Unified matrix view of MCP server status across clients

✓

Automatic configuration backups with atomic writes

✓

Local-only design with no cloud account needed

✓

Estimates context window consumption from tool definitions

✓

Simple interface reduces complexity of managing MCP servers

Overview

KyttoMCP is a desktop application that provides a unified control panel for managing Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers across multiple AI coding clients. It reads scattered configuration files from tools like Claude, Cursor, VS Code, and Codex, and presents a single matrix showing which servers are enabled in each client. This eliminates the need to manually edit JSON and TOML files spread across different directories.

Full Description ▼

The application estimates the context window consumption of each server's tool definitions, helping users understand the token cost of their MCP setup. It also offers safe configuration management by creating automatic backups before every write, using atomic file operations to prevent corruption, and preserving unrelated settings during changes.

KyttoMCP works entirely locally, with no cloud account or sync service required. It is available as a beta release for macOS and Windows, with plans for future expansion. The tool is developed by Jakub Studio.
