Overview

Open Design is a local-first, open-source desktop application that serves as an alternative to Claude Design. It turns coding agents into a design engine, enabling the generation of prototypes, landing pages, dashboards, slides, images, and videos directly from agent prompts. The app runs natively on the desktop and keeps all data local, emphasizing privacy and control.

Full Description ▼

Open Design integrates with popular coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, DeepSeek Harness, OpenCode, Hermes, and over 20 other CLIs through a bring-your-own-key (BYOK) model. It includes more than 259 skills and 142 design systems, supporting web, desktop, and mobile prototypes, as well as slide decks and media. Generated designs can be exported as real files in formats like HTML, PDF, PPTX, and MP4, making them ready for further use or sharing.
