Overview

PlainFix is a web-based accessibility scanning tool that analyzes submitted URLs against WCAG 2.x A and AA rules using axe-core. Instead of simply flagging issues, it explains each problem in plain English and provides concrete code-level fixes that developers can apply directly. It explicitly positions itself as an alternative to overlay widgets, focusing on actual remediation rather than surface-level mitigation.

Full Description ▼

To use PlainFix, you paste a page URL and the service opens the live page, runs an automated accessibility check, and then presents results grouped by severity. A free scan shows full issue counts and a few sample fixes, while paid report packs ($9 for 1 URL, $15 for 2, $21 for 3) unlock the full list for a particular URL. Multi-pack purchases also include access codes that can be shared or used later, valid for 30 days.

PlainFix is built for WCAG-minded remediation. It serves developers, designers, and product teams who need to identify accessibility breakage before or after launch and want practical guidance on how to fix it in code. Reports aim to teach users what is broken and how to repair it, making the tool useful both for compliance audits and for accessibility skill-building.
