Overview

ProPR is a self-hosted AI pull request review tool developed by Meister Dev that integrates with Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab, and Forgejo. It runs on the AI account an organization already has, such as Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex, or a self-hosted model, and sends code only to destinations explicitly allowed by the organization. This approach avoids onboarding new AI vendors and prevents lock-in, while allowing different teams to use different AI providers or models.

Full Description ▼

The tool provides granular cost control with monthly budgets, per-pull-request and per-run spending limits, spend forecasting, and mid-period warnings. Reviews start automatically without requiring pipelines to be written or maintained. Findings are checked against the actual code before being posted, settled discussions are not reopened, and risky files receive a dedicated security review. Users can control the reviewer's assertiveness and what it may post.

Security and auditability features include isolated network operation with no internet access, encrypted credentials isolated per team, enforcement of permitted AI destinations, and recording of every configuration change with attribution. Deployment consists of three containers and a database on infrastructure controlled by the customer, ensuring data stays within approved boundaries.
