Resumio
Resumio is a free, browser-based resume builder that takes a local-first approach. Users can open the editor without registering an account, and all typed information is stored only in the browser's local storage. No personal data is transmitted or saved on Resumio servers, making privacy a central part of the resume-creation workflow. The editor provides a live preview and lets users arrange sections and entries before exporting their work as a standalone HTML file or a portable JSON document that uses the JSON Resume schema. Resumio offers several professionally designed templates, including layouts called Creative, Elegant, and Basic, with customizable colors, fonts, and other styling options. All templates are described as ATS-friendly, so resumes can be parsed by applicant tracking systems. For users who need writing help, a built-in AI helper can generate summaries, job descriptions, and bullet points based on existing resume information. Because the tool requires no account, there is zero friction when starting a new resume. Users retain control of the source data in JSON and can later resume editing by importing the file. The service is accessible at resumio.xyz and positions itself for individuals who want a professional resume without giving personal information to online data brokers.
