Overview

ShadowLock is a shadow AI detection and governance platform purpose-built for MSPs and internal IT teams. It provides complete visibility into unsanctioned AI tool usage across browsers, desktop applications, and cloud services, enabling organizations to identify and control the AI tools employees are actually using. The platform detects over 100 AI tools, services, and desktop apps, including public chatbots like ChatGPT and Claude, browser extensions, embedded SaaS AI features, desktop AI apps, coding assistants, and meeting transcription tools.

Full Description ▼

The solution combines a lightweight endpoint agent deployed via existing RMM tools, a self-configuring browser enforcement extension, and a centralized management console. The agent monitors AI activity, scans browser extensions, detects local AI apps, and locks down AI features built into Chrome, Edge, Brave, and Firefox. The browser layer intercepts pastes, file uploads, and sensitive data typed into prompts, enforcing data-sharing controls and blocking risky prompts in real time. This multi-layered approach covers the full AI surface without requiring complex enterprise deployments or dedicated security engineering.

ShadowLock addresses critical compliance and liability risks, including HIPAA exposure from patient data pasted into public AI, GDPR and CCPA violations from unapproved data processing, trade secret and IP leakage, and MSP liability when client incidents occur. It provides board-ready risk reports, AI governance policy management, and multi-tenant controls for MSPs, making it suitable for healthcare, legal, financial services, and any organization handling sensitive data. The platform is designed for rapid deployment with zero user interaction, ensuring minimal disruption while enforcing AI usage policies.
