The app includes daily power-skill training micro-lessons covering interviews, follow-up emails, and difficult conversations, along with a resume builder that auto-generates a human-sounding resume from the Skill Profile. Users are matched with real job listings that fit their strengths, and they can apply directly within the app. The application also features a built-in tracker to manage applications.

Full Description ▼

Created by Holly and Daniel O'Brien, parents of six sons and experienced professionals from companies like Microsoft, Twitch, and YouTube, SkillZilla aims to fill the gap in support for young people entering the job market. After facing multiple layoffs themselves, they built a tool that is calm by design, low-pressure, and accessible to neurodivergent, anxious, or overwhelmed individuals. The interface avoids jargon, infinite scrolling, and cluttered job boards, focusing on one task at a time.

SkillZilla is 100% free with no credit card required and no prior experience needed. It is available for download on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The app promises to deliver clarity on personal strengths and a clear pathway to first employment without requiring a perfect plan.
