Solarch
Solarch is an architecture-first diagram-to-code platform that transforms validated backend architectures into deterministic, type-safe code. Users design backend systems on an interactive canvas using 22 node types (controllers, services, repositories, tables, DTOs, queues, etc.) and 16 semantic edges. An AI architect powered by LangGraph and a vector-indexed library of canonical patterns proposes architecture diagrams, while a strict default-deny rules engine validates every connection in real-time—rejecting invalid connections immediately. The platform's hybrid code engine then compiles the validated diagram into a code skeleton deterministically (Stage 1, with zero tokens) and uses surgical AI to fill in empty function bodies (Stage 2). The result is a complete, compilable backend codebase with types propagated from database schema to API contract to client. Solarch supports multiple export formats including Mermaid diagrams, API contracts, and AI-readable vector memory. It also offers an omni-bar with Agent (autonomous builder) and Instruct (conversational architect) modes, and can split projects into modular tabs with cross-referencing. The platform is available as a web-based SaaS with a free tier and paid plans that offer extended AI usage and full code generation.

Problem solved
Traditional AI code generators often produce code that lacks architectural coherence and requires extensive refactoring. Developers, especially those starting new backend projects, face blank-canvas paralysis and struggle to enforce consistent design patterns. Solarch solves this by generating a validated, canonical architecture diagram first, then compiling it into deterministic code. This ensures the final code adheres to best-practice patterns and is free of architectural violations from the start, reducing technical debt and eliminating boilerplate generation.
Use cases
- Bootstrapping a new backend microservice with a validated architecture in minutes
- Enforcing domain-driven design rules during team development by preventing invalid connections
- Generating a full CRUD API from a diagram, including DTOs, validation, and repository patterns
- Exporting an existing backend's architecture as a Mermaid diagram for documentation
- Rapidly prototyping a SaaS application with type-safe API contracts automatically generated
- Refactoring legacy code by reverse-engineering its architecture into a diagram and regenerating it
Audience
- Developers
- Enterprise
- Startups
Pros
- Default-deny rules engine enforces architectural integrity from the design phase
- Hybrid code generation combines deterministic compilation with AI for reliable output
- Full type safety from database schema to frontend client
- Free tier makes it accessible for small projects and experimentation
- Self-correcting loop ensures only valid architectures reach the canvas
Cons
- Currently limited to TypeScript backend generation
- Full code generation pricing ($100/mo) may be steep for individuals
- Requires familiarity with backend architectural patterns for effective use
