Splyntra
Splyntra is an observability and security platform purpose-built for AI agents. It traces every agent run end-to-end using OpenTelemetry-native instrumentation, capturing spans for agent planning, LLM calls, tool execution, and retrieval steps with cost data attached to each span. The platform is offered as a source-available core (FSL-1.1) that can be self-hosted with a single docker compose up, as well as a managed cloud service with a free tier.\n\nThe platform unifies execution tracing, cost analytics, quality evaluation, and risk management on a single pipeline. Each trace receives a risk score generated by detection mechanisms that run inside the pipeline, including secret and PII redaction by default, prompt-injection detection in inputs and tool outputs, and a unified risk view that combines execution and security events.\n\nBeyond observation, Splyntra provides governance and evaluation capabilities: users can turn traces into datasets, define scorers, enforce CI regression gates, apply spend controls and approvals, and manage policies through an RBAC/ABAC/ReBAC engine. An activity ledger records all governance events in a tamper-evident manner, and the platform can generate auditor-ready evidence reports mapped to SOC 2, EU AI Act, and NIST AI RMF frameworks.

Problem solved
Splyntra replaces disconnected tools for AI agent observability, security, cost tracking, evaluation, and governance. It gives teams a single OpenTelemetry-based pipeline to trace agent runs, attribute costs, detect prompt injection and data leakage, enforce policies, and generate compliance evidence, eliminating the need to stitch together separate tracing, spreadsheet, security, notebook, and governance solutions.
Use cases
- Trace AI agent runs end-to-end across frameworks like LangGraph, CrewAI, and OpenAI Agents.
- Monitor cost per run, per model, and per project in real time.
- Detect and redact secrets and PII before data is stored.
- Flag and block prompt-injection attempts in agent inputs and tool calls.
- Create evaluation datasets and CI regression gates to prevent quality drops.
- Enforce governance policies, budgets, and approvals with an activity ledger.
- Generate compliance evidence for SOC 2, EU AI Act, and NIST AI RMF.
- Self-host the source-available core on your own infrastructure with Docker.
Audience

Pros
- OpenTelemetry-native and framework-agnostic; works with LangGraph, CrewAI, OpenAI Agents, and more.
- Unifies tracing, cost, security, evaluation, and governance in one pipeline.
- Source-available core allows self-hosting with full data control.
- Built-in risk scoring, secret/PII redaction, and prompt-injection detection.
- Tamper-evident activity ledger and compliance report generation.
Cons
- Prompt-injection detection is in beta.
- Source-available license (FSL-1.1) is not OSI open source.
- Managed cloud may have pricing beyond the free tier (paid plans).
- Requires integration effort for custom agents not covered by the SDK.
- Some advanced governance features may only be available in enterprise/paid plans.
