Onboard new team members by sharing workspace context

05

Maintain continuity across development sessions when working on complex projects

06

Reduce context loss when handling hotfix contexts

07

Recover workspace state after accidental editor closure

What Problem It Solves ▼

Developers frequently lose mental context when switching tasks, returning from breaks, or after interruptions, leading to wasted time re-orienting and recalling project state. Xeyria solves this by automatically preserving and restoring the exact workspace context, reducing cognitive overhead and onboarding friction.

Overview

Xeyria is a VS Code extension designed to eliminate engineering context amnesia. It runs quietly in the background, automatically capturing active workspace metadata including tracked source files, local git branch and uncommitted changes, and active database schema migrations. When a developer resumes work, Xeyria restores this context via a sidebar, allowing them to pick up exactly where they left off without manual note-taking or reorientation. All processing begins locally; the extension pre-filters sensitive files like .env, SSH keys, and API keys before any synchronization. Users can pause capture instantly and purge local or cloud data on demand. Xeyria explicitly does not provide AI chat, documentation generation, or code generation—it is a dedicated engineering continuity system that bridges developer sessions. Currently in closed beta and available for free, it requires VS Code, an active git repository, and an internet connection for cloud sync.
