Zipbox is a cloud service that boots AI coding agents on isolated, disposable cloud machines.

Use Cases ▼
01

Boot Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or another supported coding agent in an isolated cloud sandbox

02

Run privileged, semi-autonomous coding commands from a browser terminal without installing agents locally

03

Parallelize multiple coding agents by running each one on its own cloud machine

04

Safely test AI-generated or untrusted code in a disposable environment

05

Create ephemeral cloud dev environments that can be wiped after each project or task

06

Give an agent a persistent identity with inbox, domain, and wallet across multiple sessions

What Problem It Solves ▼

Running AI coding agents locally can pollute a developer's machine and lack isolation, while configuring a secure remote VM with the correct agent environment can be time-consuming. Zipbox removes that setup by giving agents a hardware-isolated, full-root cloud machine on demand, with an option to delete it after a task.

Key Features ▼
✓

First Tiny box is free forever, with no hourly charge

✓

No install, no API key, and no setup before booting an agent

✓

Hardware-isolated boxes help contain unpredictable agents

✓

Pay-per-use billing while running, with no idle fees or subscription

✓

Agent sandboxes boot in seconds from pre-warmed templates

Overview

Zipbox is a cloud service that boots AI coding agents on isolated, disposable cloud machines. Users choose a supported agent such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor and receive a pre-warmed sandbox in seconds, streamed as an HTTPS browser terminal. There is no install, API key, or manual setup. Each box provides full root access and is intended to be deleted when the task is complete.

Full Description ▼

Zipbox differs from a plain VM service by giving each machine an identity: an email inbox, a subdomain under zbox.sh, and EVM/Solana wallet addresses can be associated with the box. The machine is disposable, while the identity persists across sessions. The first Tiny box is free forever and includes 1 vCPU, 2 GB RAM, and 20 GB disk. A first top-up of at least $5 is required to enable the free box, and the balance covers the model/API calls made by the agent rather than the machine time.

Each box is hardware-isolated with its own kernel and uses public-key authentication. Zipbox states that they do not read, log, mine, or train on user code; deleting a box wipes the environment. Billing is pay-per-use and stops when the box stops.
