Overview

DiskRaptor is a free, open-source disk space analyzer for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Built with Rust and Tauri, it combines high-performance scanning with a native, secure user interface. It can scan millions of files in seconds, using parallel scanning to deliver results up to 6 times faster than traditional disk analyzers. The application renders even massive directory trees with a virtualized TreeView, handling over 20 million nodes without UI lag.

Full Description ▼

The tool provides a range of visualizations including interactive pie charts, treemaps, and bar charts, allowing users to click through from a chart directly to files in the tree. Beyond scanning, DiskRaptor includes S.M.A.R.T. disk health monitoring, a duplicate file finder, trash recovery, cleanup tools for system and browser clutter, and empty folder detection. An optional 3D 'Galaxy View' lets users explore their storage hierarchy in a novel, spatial manner.

Privacy is emphasized: all scanning is done locally, with no telemetry, tracking, or cloud uploads. The tool is translated into 25 languages and automatically detects the system language, with one-click switching. DiskRaptor is available under the MIT License, free of charge, with no ads or paid tiers.
