Overview

Follow-Through is an AI-powered email assistant that automatically detects commitments and promises made in Gmail conversations. By connecting read-only to a user's Gmail account, it scans incoming and outgoing threads to identify when a user commits to an action, such as sending a document or making an introduction, and tracks it to completion. It surfaces open commitments in a daily briefing, sorted by urgency, and automatically resolves items when a relevant reply is detected, minimizing manual task management.

Full Description ▼

The tool is designed to prevent dropped promises that can cost deals and damage professional reputation. It distinguishes firm commitments from casual language, logging only actionable items. Users see a dashboard with open, overdue, and resolved items, along with insights like follow-through rate and average resolution time. The average user reportedly catches 11 commitments per week they would have otherwise missed, with 87% resolving automatically upon reply.

Privacy and security are emphasized: Gmail access is read-only, raw email content is never stored, and only extracted follow-up items (title, date, involved parties) are saved. The service is migrating to Azure OpenAI with zero data retention and implementing end-to-end encryption for stored follow-ups. SOC 2 Type II certification is in progress.

Pricing offers a free first month, then $4.49/month for individuals (billed annually) and $8.99/seat/month for teams (minimum 5 seats) with Outlook integration planned. Enterprise plans are custom. It aims to replace the habit of manually auditing sent mail and ensures commitments are not forgotten.
