Overview

QuickQuill is a native macOS desktop application that provides private, on-device meeting notes. It captures audio from both the user's microphone and system audio, transcribes the conversation locally, and generates summaries without any bot joining the call or data leaving the Mac. It works offline, including in airplane mode.

Full Description ▼

The app offers live captions and on-device translation across languages, as well as dictation with custom vocabulary. Users can import existing audio or video files for transcription and summarization, search history, and export in formats including SRT, VTT, Markdown, and subtitled video.

QuickQuill is distributed outside the Mac App Store because it requires system-wide hotkeys and accessibility permissions. It uses a one-time pricing model: a free tier provides dictation forever, while a paid license unlocks unlimited meeting capture, summaries, file import, live subtitles, and all export formats. It requires macOS 26 or later.
