Overview

Taskyard is an MCP-native task management platform that works for solo users and scales to teams without migration. It provides a kanban board with tasks, due dates, reminders, and role-based access control. Tasks have both an owner and an assignee, and projects support roles: Owner, Admin, Member, and Viewer.

Full Description ▼

Taskyard integrates AI through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), allowing any MCP-compatible LLM (such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or Cursor) to manage tasks via conversation. Users can generate an API key and connect their AI assistant to create, assign, update, and dispatch tasks automatically.

The platform includes workflow automations that react to triggers like status changes, assignments, due dates, or MCP tool calls, with optional conditions and actions that can invoke another MCP tool or send a webhook. This enables tasks to move through pipelines without manual intervention.

Taskyard is accessible as a web app and can be installed as a Progressive Web App (PWA) for offline use on iOS and Android. A free tier is available for individual use.
