StackRadar is a dependency management platform that automates the maintenance of software dependencies across codebases. It consolidates signals from various scanning tools (Dependabot, Renovate, Snyk, Trivy, OSV-Scanner, and its own scanner) into a single ranked queue of issues such as vulnerabilities, end-of-life packages, abandoned dependencies, license conflicts, and stale majors. This unified view eliminates duplicate alerts and reduces noise by closing withdrawn advisories and false positives with transparent reasoning. Unlike conventional bots that only open pull requests and leave failing builds or breaking changes to developers, StackRadar uses AI agents to perform the actual code changes required for an upgrade. These agents handle breaking API changes, migration paths, configuration updates, and call-site modifications. The resulting pull requests are then run through the user's own CI pipeline and, if they pass, are merged automatically according to policies set by the team. StackRadar operates on GitHub, with GitLab and Bitbucket support planned. Teams define merge policies such as auto-merge for patches and minors, requiring approval for majors, soak windows, and never-touch rules. The platform aims to remove the manual backlog of dependency updates, allowing engineering teams to focus on product work while maintaining a secure and up-to-date dependency tree.
Solves
StackRadar addresses the failure of traditional dependency scanners and bots to actually fix issues: they open pull requests that rot when upgrades require code changes, breaking builds, or manual review. StackRadar removes the manual work by using AI agents to make necessary code modifications, passing CI, and merging according to policy, thereby eliminating the dependency maintenance backlog.
